Not entirely sure what these are, I was just messing about with my goldy colours, looks kind of cool though I think. Maybe they look a bit like trees, or blood vessels…. not sure… but they are sparkly :)

In honour of yesterday being the start of spring, I did daffodil springtime nails! I put glitter over the top but I’m now not sure that was a good idea…
Also yesterday was the first time I used my new nail polish thinner (bottom right) really impressed, rescued 2 old polishes I thought were beyond help :) Good thing I liberated some pipettes from the lab though or it would have been a little tricky as the bottle doesn’t have a spout or anything.

These started off as pretty colours from the skittles bag and ended up as a sort of hawaiian tropical thing. Did this over the gel I still have on and I think they look kinda cool. I used the new Revlon scented sparkly polishes, LOVE them!!! They aren’t really that scented but the sparklyness is soooooooo fun! The flowers are freehand with a dotting tool.

Pinstripe flower french, love it, its soooooo cutesy! I did this over a full set of french mani UV gel extensions. I did the plain french all in gel and then after a few days added a pale pink to the white section, painted on some blue roses and some darker pink stripes. Ah the things I do to keep from the final year panic :)
Also my new essie - shine of the times came in the post today!! Fun!!

ps. A friend requested I post this, its not nail related but… Kony 2012 Another friend said if I post that I also have to post this Kony - real story
Some random spotty nails I did in front of the TV last night with different sized dotting tools, all the nails are different, don’t really like them so will probably redo them soon… also my nails/cuticles are really dry atm :(

All the gel is off now! My nails feel so small and thin :( I’ll do them properly after the weekend but in the mean time this is an awesome colour from accessorize called pink spice, sooooo sparkly!

Nails from the weekend. The first are my grandmother and the second are gel nails with Konad stamping on the lovely Kleineschnecke. Going home is fun :)

Firstly, I always use soak off gel, hate the damage you can do filing to get normal gel off. I use Fraulein38’s gel system, their website sells the gels and lamps, basically everything you need. They are quite cheap in comparison to other brands but I like them. Their customer service is a bit hit and miss though and you can often find their stuff cheaper on ebay. I mostly just use their clear builder gel under/over a design to strengthen it, they do also do gel polish but I’ve never tried it.
In the past I’ve also used biosculpture gel, it was really good but its made/marketed much more for use in salons than at home, and its also more expensive (you can get it on ebay)
As I mostly only use gel to make a particular design last longer, or have longer nails for a particular reason/event, the fraulein38 stuff is great for me.
Hope that helps,
